chocolate cravings

If you are a "chocoholic" or crave the taste of chocolate it could mean you need more magnesium in your diet. Chocolate and cocoa have fairly high amounts of magnesium. Other foods rich in magnesium include apples, apricots, avocadoes, bananas, blackstrap molasses, brewer's yeast, brown rice, cantaloupe, figs, garlic, grapefruit, green leafy vegetables, nuts, seafoods, seaweeds, tofu, whole grains, meats and dairy products. Herbs that contain magnesium include chamomile, chickweed, dandelion, eyebright, fennel seed, fenugreek, hops, horsetail, lemongrass, licorice, mullein, nettles, oat straw, paprika, parsley, peppermint, raspberry leaf, red clover, sage, yarrow, and yellow dock. Adding more magnesium to the diet can help prevent depression, dizziness, nervousness, irritabilty, muscle weakness and twitching, and some PMS symptoms.
