Welp, we survived 2020, wasn't a bad year for the rabbit business. A lot of new people are looking into starting a meat rabbit project to supplement there food and me more self sufficient. Because of that sales were up for breeders over fryers. This was good for us and we did a bit better then breaking even. a portion of the "stimulus" check was put towards buying materials to make new rabbit cages. Our 2, 5 holes are about 5+ years old and we need to replace the bottom wire. I plan to build 2 new holes and repair the 10 holes we have. when hopes to possible expand the barn a little bit. I'm excited for the new cages. My old set up was about 30" by 24" by 18" , and the new holes will be a little larger, 36" by 24" by 18", that may not seem like much but it expands the floor area from 5 sqft, to 6 sqft and will bring the cages into standard sizes for my girls.
